!! Need help now asap !! Pcv valve pipe needed?
Hey guys so I went to do a top clean this morning and noticed that pcv valve pipe going to the intake is snapped in half!
anyways, before I head out to buy a new one... is this even needed? I was told that its really just for emissions reasons and can probably swap it out for a piece of straight hose and then also install an oil catch can
any ideas?

Of course not. GM just installed it to add clutter to the engine compartment, and increase the cost of the vehicle.

Yeah, its sort of needed unless you wish to see oil spray all over everything. The dealer will sell you to entire hose assembly which wraps around the back of the intake and so on and yes, it does include a new pcv valve too. Last I looked, it was like $99 but would guess its higher now.
