Ok i have a 2002 Z06. Im looking to buy the MGW short shifter. I see it has a few different options. Id like to not only have a shorter throw but the stick be shorter too. Will the 9/16-18 threaded fit my hurst shift ball and will the stick also be shorter? I am assuming the 9/16-18 tall threaded would keep the shifter **** at stock hieght. just want to clearify before i purchase.

Ask George at MGW. He'll have the exact answers to your questions. I personally went with the top that worked with a C6 ****, so it didn't have threads at all, and in pictures, looked shorter than the model with threads. I really am happy with the combination.

I went with the offset upper shaft, but threaded for a C5 ****. It is shorter than stock, but I lopped off another 5/8" and had the shaft threaded further down. It's about as short and tight as you're going to find anywhere.
The boot is a RedlineGoods' 1" shorter. **** is Delrin.
You don't need an extra "handle" (upper shaft). The options are for those who want to change an existing setup - going shorter/longer or offset as opposed to what they may already have. The offset handle allows for variable positioning of your shift ****.
Yes, the normal threaded shaft is both shorter and gives shorter throws (the shorter height is part of making shorter throws). The Hurst ball will fit on it, assuming that Hurst ball fits on a stock C5 shifter.
You could buy the long and short shafts to allow you to try different shift ratios.
