Am running with HID fogs and HID ACA headlights and no problems at all until now.
First click on the stalk brings on the fogs just like usual but my pop-ups are now popping up at the same time but the lights aren't coming on. Second click on the stalk now brings on my driving lights. When I go back one click to the fogs the driving lights go off but the pop-ups stay up (common problem with HID's). When I now switch my fogs off (all lights off) the pop ups now go down but the motor/gear still turns on the left hand side pop-up for about 4 seconds.
I know that the teeth on the gear wheels can shear off but is this problem consistant with that?
o so why is it when the car is off i turn lights on for like five mins turn off they dont go down
Good question, start a thread, and ask for help with details on your particular situation. I'm just clearing up your misunderstanding of capacitors v/s resistors.........so you don't confuse others.

any advice would be very much appreciated
thanks
I'm not sure why it does that really. For some reason a lot of C5s do that when you change to HID fogs. It's one of the only drawbacks to having the nice light.
Change the gear out first though. Some do that when the gear is bad.

Thanks, will turn the gear around 180 degrees for a quick fix but will also order the brass upgrade.

Yes, will buy the resistor as it's a little embarrassing when you can only drop the pop-ups by switching all of the lights off.
