Hi Gang,

i just need some confirmation that I am on the right track.

97 coupe, when getting on the hwy, car is turning right, there is a grinding noise from the drivers side front tire, sounds like metal rubbing.
The tighter / higher speed i take the corner the louder the sound gets. Once the wheels are straight there is no noise at all. lane changes are quiet, in town car is quiet.

Had the car up on jack stands to inspect the suspension, sway bar, no issues.
looked at the wheel wells no rubbing marks,
inspected the front tire and rim - no rubbing ( 19")
Looked to see if braided brake line was getting rubbed, no issues.

I am strongly leaning towards front wheel bearing, this is a new sound and the car has been lowered for 4 years now, Z51 sway and poly bushings at the same time. No other suspension mods.

DO you all agree i am on the right track ? I see the Fitchner employee discount post and want to take advantage, also don't want to waste my $

How many miles are on your car? I suspect it could be the wheel bearing going bad. An easy way to check it, is to jack the car up, and try to see if the wheel will shake. Grab it at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions, and try to move it. Then, grab it at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and repeat the test. If there is ANY movement, the bearing needs to be replaced.
