Its not sarcasm, Lucky cant help herself and loves to bash other members for doing things she will never do. I don't know if its jealousy but every time I see her post its never anything that adds value to a thread.

I think its great you took the time to send out samples of two brands and had proven evidence that Mobile 1 is a better quality of oil than RP. Plus you had the courtesy of posting it up for other members.

This coming from someone who doesn't even turn their own wrenches? And you contribute what to this forum?.....another thread on what part ECS installed on your car?

It's soo interesting, that when someone questions something, it's bashing. Simply asking for the evidence of all the destroyed engines, as a result of using any quality oil...mobil 1, amsoil, RP, Castrol, etc. ...yet no one says anything...not one freakin post.....yet someone is always trying to figure out which oil is better? Why?

...by the way...if you're ever in the Chicago area, let me know....I'll show you how much of a "she" I really am Ikester.

4 of My 5 vehicles use 5w30 Mobile 1 and my 01Z also except 10w30 extended for track days. Milage runs from a low of 6k on the Z to 15k on my Grand Cherokee between changes. The only oops I ever had resulted from an incorrect lifter adjustment on a "built" motor. I have a neighbor that changes oil based solely on testing and he averages nearly 24,000 highway miles on Amzsoil [ we both use NAPA Gold filters]!

I ran nothing but organic oil in all my vehicles(until my C5), and never had a motor grenade on me.......am I the only one? Just lucky? My 2000 Silverado 5.3 has 130k miles, and has been running on organic oil since day one. It does not use a drop of oil, and runs strong. I hear all kinds of goofy opinions on oil, I want to hear from the guys who are destroying their motors, running what the factory suggests(or their preference).

Come on guys, all of you chime in, that have had catastrophic engine failure , as a result of using the oil of your choice.
Lucky it seems to me you like these threads...you have posted on this thread twice as much as anyone here...

Because these are bull**** threads. Oil this oil that. In years past I would run organic oil 20-30K and never hardly check it. In my now C5 vert and C5Z i will change as DIC.K says to. Mega miles in all samples and no issues. This Sh*t should be in OFF TOPIC (REALLY).

How can we know if some of these tests weren't actually commissioned by oil companies, and had the results slanted in their favor?

I put more faith in David's comparison!

I wonder which oil you used first and how you managed to flush the engine to ensure a valid test. I side with Lucky on the oil. Organic oils ran in hundreds of millions of cars before synthetics came out. With no problems.

While I think synthetics are clearly superior to dino oils,I agree with Lucky. If you are using good quality oil,no matter what brand and changing it regularly, you wont have a problem.
