How to change a/c blower motor ?
whats the simplest / quickest way to do this ? Also any ideas where to buy a low cost used one ? My a/c works fine, but then the actual blower motor pushing air to the vents starts making loud noise like the bearing in it is going bad....need to swap out asap as its getting hot here in florida, LOL ....is the motor under the dash , or under the hood ?

It's located under the dash on the passenger's side close to the center console. There is a rubber hose on it, and if I remember right three or four 7mm screws that hold it in place. Look on eBay for one. They are two models, one for the manual air controls and one for the auto climatic control.

So its easily accessible , the dash does not need to come out ? Does anything need to come off to get to it ??? Thanks guys

Melting Slicks
Take off the access panel under the pass dash and act like Houdini
Need to remove a nut and maybe a clip and then the access panel is gone. The motor is accessable with like 3 or 4 nuts as I remember maybe bolts and a single power connector. Not hard just a PITA.
Test it with 12V DC from ur battery. If OK its the damn $100 MODULE if you have auto controls or a cheap resistor pack if you have manual.

I think on the back side of it there's a key that needs released with a small flat screwdriver, but it's been a while since I did mine. As I recall, it's not easy to see till you really get in there.

Mine has 3 Torx screws holding it in. There is a blade on the connector that you need to pry up a bit to unplug it. Other than that it is a quick 10 minute job to remove. One of the screws (closest to the passenger seat) is at an awkward spot but that's it.

First of all, my thanks for all the assistance. When I dropped out the "squirrel cage", it and the housing were loaded with debris which I vacuumed-out. Again I had considerable difficulty releasing the electrical connection. At that point, I decided to test the unit and reconnected the battery. Upon turning-on the ventilation unit, the fan began to spin and responded to the manual velocity control. I reinserted the fan, and that third screw, obscured by what I believe to be a return duct, was a challenge. This process without removing the passenger seat requires you to be a bit of a contortionist.

Debris in the cage
I just did it, take it out first and clear the debris and the chamber it sits in. That may be the problem. Save some money!!
I had some leaves that died in there, leaving stems. made a ton of noise but once I did..BINGO!!

I'm in the middle of this job. Fan came out easily. Putting it back is a real pain. No room to work. I would take it into the dealer today , but they can't take it till next week. So I will continue to struggle. Don't expect this to be all that easy unless you are small and flexible.
The third screw obscured by the plastic air duct is accessible. The duct unsnaps.
