TCS No Comm; TCS, ABS, and HVAC issue
1998 Convertible.
I've spent a long time researching the threads on this and it seems like an EBCM issue, HOWEVER... at the exact same time that the ABS and Traction control lights come on the HVAC also goes out completely and appears as though there is no power to it. I haven't seen that issue addressed.
When I check the DTC codes it reads "TCS: No Comm" when it gets to that portion. Also getting RTD and HVAC "No Comm"
Codes:
1571
1644
1652
I've cleaned off ground #101 as well as pulled the plug off the EBCM and cleaned it out real well too.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
If the solution is to replace the EBCM I've found one on line and they are calling part # 19244084 as a replacement for 09376711. They only want $288 for it. Is this right???

Lucky,
You're a genius! If I could kiss you electronically I would. You just saved me tons to time and $$$$ !!!!! New ignition switch and all the weird lights are out.
Thanks,
Chris

wait, so, you were getting the 28-tcs no comm code and you changed the ignition switch and that solved your issue??

Having this same EXACT problem right now, TCS and HVAC both are at "no comm." , and ABS light and TC light are both shining on the dash.
Is it 100% the ignition switch? Im a total noob, can't do this repair on my own, will have to take it to my local mechanic.

Basically:
1) Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine.
2) Press the RESET button to turn off any warning messages. (i.e. door open, trunk open ect)
3) Press and hold the OPTIONS button
4) While holding OPTIONS, press FUEL button four times within a 10 -second period.
If you're ABS module is messed up the codes won't clear. I found a guy on Craigslist that either repairs them or swaps them out. I think I paid around $60 total. I was a total newbie but removing the module is relatively straightforward.
good luck.

I just had the TCS no comms. My switched voltage to the EBCM was 1 volt under the non-switched voltage. Pulled ignition switch. 4 of the 5 contacts pairs were black. Sanded and polished the contacts as per the rebuild ignition switch thread and all is good. 140K miles on Vette.

hey fellas, just a quick update: i cleared the codes, drove it, and after a few cycles sometimes i get BOTH the TC and ABS lights to go away, and my hvac comes back on and works good. sometimes, only the TC light stays on. either way this is great news.
i think this has to do with the cold, its been very cold in NJ and the car was in the garage for a while with a tender. seems fixed, for now!
