Default Drag set up, ADVICE!

I went to the track last night with a friend who has a 99 Z28. He has a set of 16x8 rims with drag tires on them. He ran a few passes on them and then we jacked up the Vette. Slid the rim on, andthen tried to spin it. It wouldn't budge! The other side, still stock, would move a little. We took the drag tire off, and both sides would spin fine! What's the problem?? I thought Camaros and Corvettes could interchange wheels? Any advice on what might have been wrong?

If that isn't going to work, what is the cheapest way to get slicks on the Corvette?

I guess the offset is different on the rims. Buy a set of drag radials and purchase a cheap set of rear rims for the vette from a aftermarket vendor. :chevy

Try posting in the new Drag Racing section :) Don't think you're going to get that 16" wheel on there w/o grinding.

As replied in the Drag Racing section, the f-body rims will fit by you have to shave the wheel some and take a little off the top of the a-frame in the rear to make it fit.
