Vas Deferens

Hey guys sorry this might be dumb but I couldn't find the answer I'm looking for on here or google. Just changed my oil, and went to hold down the reset button on the oil life % and instead of changing to 100% or 99%, it just turned into three lines, like "_ _ _ %" Is this normal? Does this mean anything or should I just go check in a while and see if it changes to 100%? I turned the car off once and back on after a minute or so and it went back to the original percentage before the oil change.

turn the ignition to "on" don't start it - press and release the gas pedal
four times ... it will reset the % - very simple

On my car I turn the ignition to the on position without starting, go to the oil percentage and hold down reset.

Same here. If the oil percentage went to "----" then you had the car on when you hit the reset button.
