Default Best place to install differential bung for temp gauge??

I am installing 3 interceptor gauges. They also take 2 exta inputs. I'd like to install a differential temp probe. But where do I weld the bung? I'd prefer it not be too low in the diff so I don't have to worry if it leaks .
Can the bung be welded and the sensor installed without having to drill a hole into the dif case? Just relying on the case temp.

I just talked to both of them a week ago and they said there would be no problem installing one for me so i can put a temp gauge. They would know where the best place to put one...
