Direct fit, but you'll either need the ls6 front coolant crossover lines and rear plugs or you'd have to modify the intake if you want to reuse the ls1 coolant crossover line
also, be careful on the small vacuum line in the back. if you dont get that back on right your AC vents wont switch from top to defrost to bottom. a lot of people put a length of rubber tubing on the hard plastic line to make things easier. there are pictures here on how to modify the intake. you basically have to remove the casting fins from the bottom of the intake.
Ron, I've got one sitting in my basement not doing me any good.. I had it on my '99 Z28.. It's pre cut on the bottom to allow your LS1 coolant lines. Also has a new MAP Sensor on it.. Shoot me a PM if you want it
While the intake is off---I would also switch the LS1 "valley cover" to a newer "LS6 vallry cover " These engines are notorious for sucking up oil into your intake manifold via your PCV sytem----
Take off or open up your throttle body and look inside of it with a flashlight--You'll be shocked to see how oil soaked it is---If its dry then that is very rare-- LS6 valley is about $75 and takes some re-routng of your PCV lines but will prevent oil fouling of your spark plugs-and contamination of your intake charge-----More HP ?? well maybe if its real bad and dripping with oil ( I've seen some manifolds that were taken off a LS1 and set on the garage floor standing upright--and they left a puddle of oil 10-12" wide !!!!! )
I peered in there when I had the TB off. A little oily, but not bad. The TB on the other hand was filthy.
Is the LS6 valley tray available new?
An oil catch can also sounds like a good idea.
The plan is for heads and cam over the winter, as long as it doesn't get too cold out......yeah right. I'll get a heater.
I am still in the planning phase..........and picking up pieces here and there.

I just installed mine a few ago, i opted to keep the same coolant lines. All i needed to do was knock off the fins on the underside with a chisel, then i took a hi speed grinder with a sanding disk and smoothed them down flush. The intake bolted down perfectly. Next on my mod list is a ported TB. Lol
