Alright guys - I finally got the video up. Took her for a 2 hour drive today and everything is going well. Got the get the tune finalized and I'm sure she'll be a blast.
So you spotted the Mustang lol I actually own an '02 GT as well that plays it's role as my Daily driver. It's a fendor gripper which is really nice and I opted for the Vette logo but for some reason it was 15 dollars more expensive - must be that Vette tax .
you need to not drive it very much till a tuner can get a wideband on it cause it might be running lean.
I'm actually running on a mail order tune from Steve Frost - we discussed it and I'm planning on driving it down to him for the full dyno tune (w/ wideband of course). So I believe I am running a little rich if anything. I'm driving the car but I'm just taking it easy (no wot pulls) until then.

These will be my winter wheels. I have a set of C6 Z06 wheels wrapped in nitto nt555rII's so that should get the job done I plan on sticking them on there once Spring time comes around.

I just got a dyno tune on my 99 after a similar project. Its not worth the possible consequences of trying to enjoy the power in the colder weather.
Thanks! And yep - I agree man. That's why I'm making sure to take it easy during these next couple months before the dyno tune; I'm not going WOT and I'm keeping the RPM's under 3500. I will say I'm very much looking forward to Spring though .
Alright guys, just an update - After driving around I can say that this setup runs very healthy. From mid-2000 RPM's to redline, it pulls very strong. I've gotten caught in traffic a few times and I have no complaints - you can feel the car shake a little from the cam but aside from that it is very smooth. So my thoughts so far - I am very happy with how everything turned out. Haven't drove down to the dyno yet but I'm expecting to make my trip down there sometime within the next couple months.
Alright - just to top off this build thread I wanted to post my Dyno Video for this build. I'm really happy with the results. I know if I upgrade to a 85mm MAF and new Air bridge that will free up some extra horses.... But I plan on doing that PLUS I'll throw on a nice, clean Nitrous Plate setup (100-150 shot). So I'll update along with that once I get everything completed.
The Final Numbers were: 437 WHP
392 WTQ
Thanks again for all the views & support and I'm glad to contribute to CF!
Now that you've had this cam for a while, how do you feel about the overall drivability? I am considering doing this cam with ported stock heads (not milled, so stock CR), ls6 manifold, ported stock TB, etc etc. I don't know much about Lunati's lobes, but by my guess this should be pretty similar in drivability and torque curve to a G5x2 (232/240 XE-R lobes on 114) with just a touch rougher idle due to the lsa. It looks like the Lunati lobes might be a bit nicer on valvesprings as well, while sacrificing just a touch under the curve. The x2 I drove was paired with AFR 205s and made great power and was very civilized in stop and go traffic, so I'm hoping this is similar.
Great write up, I just read the whole thing, but i'm wondering was there a reason for not changing to the LS6 style PCV system while you were in there? I ask because my 99FRC gets the head cam change here shortly. I've already bought the new valley cover for the switch, just wondered if there is a good reason not to do this mod while in there. Congratulations, I hope mine goes as smoothly.
