Default '97-'00 Corvette TPMS To '01-'04 TPMS Conversions Available @ GM Parts House

Hi All,

Thanks for taking a look at the TPMS/Key FOB conversion thread. You guys have been asking for this for a while, but the parts haven't been available and now they have started to become available again. I have put together a kit and a special price for you on this conversion. The kit is $395. If you are interested in only doing one key fob instead of two, that is fine. Just let me know and I can help you out with it. Click on the link below to order from our website.

Thanks,
Gene.

A free bump for Gene... Thanks for doing the kit... Makes it easy for someone wanting to convert..

Gene,

Is the conversion just "plug and play"?? That is, do we need to pull connector pins plug them into another
connector? Any cutting/soldering?? I suspect not but have to ask...

Yes, there is cutting and soldering for switching to the new connector.

Why do you need new key fobs to change your sensors?

When you change to the new style receiver, your old fobs will no longer work and must be updated to the new style along with the tire pressure sensors. New/old styles are not interchangeble. It's all or none. If, as your profile states, you have a 2004 it doesn't apply to you. You already have the new style of everything.

Great price on the kit Gene,I couldn't pass this one up so I bought it. I figured since I was already upgrading to L5's,CCW wheels and Michelins, that this was the perfect time to put those new TPMS in there as well. The new transmitter and key fobs I hope work much better than the 2000 version. My '99 S10 key fob shames it.

Thanks again Gene,

So you have to change the key fobs to use the new style TPMS?

The Conversion to the new style transmitter and FOB is worth it, range on the new style Fob is 100% better than on my original '00 setup.

I've got 2 sets of wheels, painted 2000 thinspokes and a set of polished '01's. I spliced in an '01 harness connector into the '00 harness and when i swap wheels it takes 10 minutes to swap transmitters.

Kudo's to Gene for creating the kit
