For that money just save up another $100 and buy a fast intake or buy a used fast. The general consensus is ls1 intakes is a fast or ls6. The others have lots of issues and dont make the power increases. Do a search on ls1tech about options.

I have no knowledge of the PRO PRODUCTS manifolds for the LSx motors other than what I've read here many times...heavy, heat soaking, blingy.

I know from friends who used PRO PRODUCTS manifolds on their modified tri five Chevy cars though. They're made off shore. They leak. Correct fitment/machining was iffy. Their attention to tolerances left much to be desired.

From my personal experience with their inline fuel filters...they all leaked. For the money I saved by buying their products, I wasted when I had to buy what I should have bought in the first place.

No need for an intake manifold upgrade, at your current level.

I just bought this off a friend of mine that had it on his car for 2 years with no leaks and great fitment. When these first came out in 05-06, there were some that leaked, but the company has since corrected the issue.

I chose to add this to my set up as it comes with bigger fuel rails that I needed anyway. The plate on the underside has been ceramic coated to help with heat soak and this intake out flows the LS6, Weind, and BBK, the FAST does flow a bit better. I don't really care, I like the sharp looks of it and its different. The stock intake and the FAST look like cheap crap!

It is simply badass and a lot cheaper than a fast!

do a lot of research on here, you already have a LS6 intake since yours is an 01. people here are running 500+hp on the same intake you have now. Combine the reported fitment issues with the FAST 102, the fact it is going to be well over 1K dollars to buy the intake and throttle body and you will gain maybe 15hp after tuning. You could take that grand and put a good set of heads on the engine while doing the cam swap and gain more than what the fast alone would have given you without the heads. as far as the best header, beaten to death time and time again. you really cant go wrong with any of the popular brands, TSP, XSpower, LG, Kooks. They apparently dyno within a few hp of each other but fitment can be different. My 700 dollar TSPs dropped right in with no issues. Others require you to raise the engine off the mounts. Your call.

I've been seeing some nice painted FAST intakes and they do look better. But a stock one looks like a big chunk of plastic, and for $900-1000 they prove little gains for the money spent! Just my .02 Man, Sorry

Lets go in the middle and say 20rwhp gain!

It's going to cost you $1000 to buy and install one

I don't mean to offend anyone!

But $1000 for 20hp! That is "JUST STUPID"

I have over 600hp at the wheels, I did not buy the Typhoon for gains, I did it because it looks bad *** and I need bigger fuel rails! Sorry!!!
