Default 2000 EBCM - anything new

Still looking for an EBCM solution for my 2000 6 speed roadster w/active. I've read most of the threads on this problem...it made my head hurt. What a situation. I took my unit to Marc at VetteNuts and we sent my V unit and some of his M units to Autoecu in east tennessee. They indicated they could repair my unit because of the C1255 code...not true. They're sending it back...unrepaired. Is there anything new you guys can recommend? or know where an old vette guy can find one reasonable? Thanks

Thanks Bill...I apreciate your thoughts. Used electronics have never been good to me....so I try to stay clear. $1,500 for a used unit seems a bit out of line...but with no other options? Can you point me to a reasonable salvage dealer? All my contacts are C2 guys.
