Proffesional Products Typhoon 85mm intake manifold Polished INSTALLED
Installed on my 1998 c5 corvette. i dont normally post on here but these intakes recieve alot of hate or mild dis-regard when put up against the BBK or LS6 or FAST. I will admit this intake does not spar with a 96 or bigger FAST. but it most certainly out-performs the BBK and LS6 or fAST 78mm. No heat soak issues. Best of all stock 78mm throttle body works just fine with this intake. Spent the whole day daily driving in AZ heat and temps were maybe 6 or 7 degrees hotter on mine than the LS6 (Occational spirited punches). With supporting mods i picked up 10 rwhp over the LS6 at 2600 rpms. and 15 rwhp at 6800. So if your going from the stock LS1 intake the gains will be substantial! If i would have went from my original LS1 intake to this one it would be about 30-33 rwhp jump. This kit is not worth the money new... which i think is around 700 bucks for the polished one... i picked mine up used for 375 bucks. Thats a deal right there. 2000 and older vettes will need a Fuel Pressure Regulator kit from professional products (125 bucks). Currently they are on a 3 or 4 month backorder. I baught the last one in the US lucky me. No issues sealing the intake, no leaks, no heat soak, great gains, and looks better than any other intake manifold IMO. Gaskets from fel-pro will work. Did i mention this intake is also Bunged for nitrous? Not a fan of the giggly gas myself but it costs a pretty penny to get your LS6 or BBK bunged for nitrous... this one comes ready to go! When all was said and done i have about 550 bucks into this installed. Well worth the money! Beats spending 1400 on a FAST 102 and 500 on matching NW throttle body and only picking up another 15 or so over this current intake just my .02 cents.

Hell yah dude.
I just ordered mine. I will port it to 90mm.I have an 90mm ls7 throttle body, and a ls7 to ls1 adaptor to mate it up.I'm making 416 rwhp now with a mayhem 2 cam, headers, no cats, no mufflers, underdriven pulley. Can wait to install this thing. And the looks are 2nd to none

I'm in the middle of my install now. I have the 85mm polished one. Its a 3 bolt tbody flange. But I'm using an 90mm ls7 thirtieth body and a adaptor from cBM. I opened up the intake to 90mm and the adaptor hole also to 90mm. Got my whole kit off ebay for $375. Can't beat that. Looks awesome and hood shuts just fine.

Sorry to bring up a old thread but I just ordered the 96mm version of the Typhoon for my WS6. I ordered a 102mm TB and the fuel rail kit as well. Think I paid 550 shipped for everything brand new off ebay. Good to see some solid gains. I plan on installing my LS6 intake from the T/A onto the Vette afterwards.

I still have yet to see a dyno sheet supporting the claims and with guys making 450+rwhp with LS6 intakes why swap? Might as well wait till you need a FAST 90, 92 or 102. I have yet to see one as well or even hear a supporting vendor recommend one.

My car made 448 rwhp. I am married with kids and have 3 project cars. Its hard to get the wife to approve me dropping 1500 on a fast 102 setup! I got this entire setup for 550.00. If I make 10-15 more hp over my LS6 I would very happy with that.. Its nice to hear what people who actually have these intakes say then the people that never had them. Also this intake is for sale on many of the LS1tech sponsor sights as well.. Bottom line is I am gonna dyno before with the LS6 setup and after with a retune and the 96mm setup..
