Anyone know much about the JL Audi Stealthbox for C5's?
They cost $600. If I want to keep my existing Bose system w/ 12 disc CD Changer, I need to get an amp as well to power the Sub. It is a 10" sub.
If anyone has this Stealthbox or has heard one, let me know what you think about it.
More info about this Stealthbox which is made to fit in the small compartment in your trunk can be found here: http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/c5.html
I had jl stealthbox since its introduction in late 99. Simply the best mod for your stock system. A single 10w3 in a sealed enclosure puts out some serious bass. I am running it with RF Punch series amp. (250w). You need to relocate the changer to the passenger side. Get the speaker line from the bose amp (which is already x-overed). http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/sbkim/lst...stereo&.view=t
SBKIM, is that the air dam from the GM body kit? It looks nice and stealthy. Do you have problems scraping on driveways? Any issues with coolant and oil temperatures? TIA.
I was looking into purchasing one of these as well. I looked around, and the forum members linked me to a past post from someone who was selling the boxes for $400. I do not have the forum link on me, but the dude who is selling them said you can email him directly at (csstereo@aol.com). At that time they were going for $400. Hope this helps.
It's the ACI front spoiler. Yes, it does cause some clearance problems. Just be very careful when you are parking (curbs). I have noticed no ill effects from having this spoiler.
Can you control the level of your base from the Stealthbox from you Delco head unit? Or do you need an amp that has adjustable control to the device it powers?
