I have an opportunity to pick up a set of front and rear sway bars. I have no idea who makes them. They are blue, and very large. I didn't see any markings but they are still on the car. Just wondering if anyone knows who makes blue sway bars.
Only place I have seen is LG, and they are about 1000 bucks. I don't think that these are them since they don't have the adjustable end links.
The T1s are blue and I think the diameter is like 36mm and weighs 18 lbs. This should help you make sure they are T1s. End links will be irrelevant. The newer T1s have 3 holes on the rear bar for adjusting. You can pick a set of used ones in the AX/RR for around $400 per set. HTH.
Ok I looked them up, these seem to be them. Will these make a huge difference in handling? Or a waste of money? I'm no AX guy, but can appreciate better handing.
Be careful. T1 bars are not designed for street use. So they will probably be way too stiff for street driving. Personally, I wouldn't put those on unless your car is strictly a track car.

BAH fooey!... true they will be stiffer... and you'll never really get near their MAX on the street..
That being said I love mine.. Car handles like a go-kart, near 0 body roll, no nose dive on hard deceleration ... I'm loving it.
But like Cybermind said.. your ride wont be "cushy" anymore.. but if you wanted cushy.. you shudda bought a couch!
Are they overkill.. well sure... but then.. who needs a 405 HP car ... buy a Civic!
FWIW.. I love mine.

Definitely not for street use. Just get C5Z06 sways with metal end links
I'm up in the air about it. Only reason I considered new sways, was taking a ride in a c5 with the eibach kit, after gettin back in mine I felt like I was in a boat. But I do daily drive my car, and some of the roads an freeways here aren't the softest. Maybe I will flip them for some c5z, or some other lighter duty kit.

I installed the Eibach bars over the winter and I highly recommend them. The kit also includes the urethane bushings. It did not noticeably stiffen up the ride. But, the steering response and handling is greatly improved. It's like riding on rails. They look good too as seen from the rear of the car. i got the red ones. I think they are your best bet for the money. Unless you want to go with the GM Z51 or Z06 bars.

I have the T1s on my dd/track car. It is not unbearable - the handling improvement vs ride comfort is well worth it. I also have Pfadt adj shocks that helps ease the street ride.

If you are going to track the car, do it. It's worth the sacrifice in ride quality to be that much better on the track. If you don't track it, forget about it. As others have said, get C5Z bars. Lastly, don't worry about T1 for auto-x. They are not a great setup when you want the ability to throw the car around a little.
Better shocks will also make a bog difference. C6Z shocks are great.
Lol at not for street use. I have them and switched from z06 girlys sway. Chances are, you wont even notice a difference in ride quailty. Just less body roll
Well I put them on today, and they are great in the corners, but the ride is just too stiff for my liking. If anyone is interested in them, they will be for sale.

Maybe I will out the money into coil overs.

Last week I installed new C6Z shocks and sways on my C5 coupe that I ordered from Gene.
It was all I needed to transform the cars ride and handling.
Huge improvement and the ride is still ok for the street.
Since you tried the T1 and found them to severe I'm sure you would like this combination better.
My car is not really used on the street all that much.
and I do have the full T1 suspension, an aluminum seat bolted to the floor and solid motor mounts, poly bushings, 305 front and 335 rear tires
track alignment (-2.5* front camber & -1.5* rear camber)
corner balanced with my weight in the seat.
so driving on public roads, is well, rocks would be softer then my vettes ride. Every fricken bump goes through the car. It tramels down each and every crack or pavement change on the road. Real PIA
But on the track, it handles like it is a slot car on rails. High speed corners are just a dream with minimal body roll as it has a solid and quick response. on short tight corners, it just rotates so nicely (Trailing Throttle Oversteer) without body roll
BUT that is How I set the car up, for high speed road course track use.
