Limited slip additive
I know that the issue of the rear end grinding has been beat too death. But I have to keep adding the additive every 2-3 months. Can it break down that quick or is there maybe a more serious problem with the rear end? I just hit 25,000 on the odometer.

i believe You have other issues if you have a grinding noise.

I'd say you have some issues to attend to, considering with many of the newest synthetic oils you don't even need to add an additive. It's formulated into the oils now, including GM's synthetic rear oil.

Its not really a grinding noise, its the clunking noise on slow sharp turns. If I put in some more additive it instantly goes away, but comes right back in about 2-3 months?
