ABS/Traction Control Light is on
have a 98 c5, and both lights came on at the same time..? can anybody help..?

that means your EBCM = electronic brake control module has gone bad. Just like mine.

Not necessarily.... both of those come on when the steering position sensor goes out also. We need to know what the codes are from the DIC.

When I'm racing my '97 I'll occasionally throw the same warnings. I clear the codes and they usually don't come back for months.

yeah, I cleared mine last night and they came back this morning when I drove out of the driveway....

I have been down this road with my 98 and I finally fixed it with a tool I built to exercise the motor in the ECBM. With the early models you can get to the module and run the motor but you have to also open the solenoids to allow the motor to pump the brake fluid. Check some of my posts and you cna see what I mean. I was able to pump fresh fluid through the motor and I have had no more problems.
