Default Z06 front caliper brake line banjo fitting question

I’ve got a small brake fluid leak where the banjo bolt goes into my Driver’s side caliper on my 02 z06. I checked the torque on it and it is plenty tight. Without removing it (I didn’t have any new copper crush washers or the time to bleed them just then) I could only see 1 copper washer which is between the caliper and the banjo. I looked at the passenger side and could also only see one. I know most all banjo bolts I’ve ever seen require two copper washers. I’m going to go ahead and pick up 4 new ones(2 for each side) and 2 new banjo bolts for it but can someone please verify that it should in fact have 2 per each? To my knowledge and understanding, I’m pretty sure one should go between the banjo and the caliper and one between the bolt head and the banjo. I don’t have a manual for this car yet or I’d check myself.

Yes, you are correct. You will need two copper washers per caliper.

Thanks. Hopefully this makes the leak go away.

I have the same issue. I wasn't doing a brake job persay but I did remove the banjo bolt from the driver side front caliper and when I out it back and tightened it down it leaked. I pulled it back apart to find that I only have one copper washer. The one between the caliper and the bolt. I'm going to go to autozone or NAPA and get another set of washers tomorrow. Hopefully this cures my leaking brakes. I'm sure it will.

Yep, in this case, copper is your friend.

I found the missing washer on the floor of my garage while sweeping. I installed the second washer and leak is gone. :-)
