Default HVAC Display Repair

Is there a preferred HVAC repair supplier? I see several on Ebay ranging from $30-$65. I need the screen and backlights repaired.

Thanks!

I have heard the best replacement backlight bulbs are Radio Shack 272-1092. They are the same as a McMaster Carr bulb (don't have that Part # with me now). A previous writeup said they were the closest match to the original ones in color. You will need 14, if my memory serves me correctly. They have to be soldered in place. Some people use LEDs for backlights, it is just a personal preference (they should be brighter if you want that).

I have problem with button labels on HVAC control panel. Apparently caused by tunnel heat. Labels literally stick to fingers and slid off. Any suggestions appreciated. Hate to remove from Florida car until winter.

Contact Marc at VETTENUTS and see if he can get you a good used unit. Then fix the one that you have and use it as a spare or bartering tool!!

Many thanks RockyL32! Order placed for complete set of labels. Will let you know results. Very economical alternative to replacing complete panel!
