I will be installing an LS6 Manifold, Z06 Air Box with K&N Filter and Corsa Xtreme Cat Back with the XO Pipe this week. The car will then be re-tuned! Looking forward to the gains!

I don't have the car back, I am out of town until Tuesday, but I talked to the shop today and got some initial numbers.

2000 Base Corvette
Automatic
145,000 miles

Baseline was 287 hp to the wheels, stock car with just a tune.

After the 2002 Z06 Air Box, LS6 Intake Manifold, Corsa Xtreme Exhaust and re-tune I had 318 hp to the wheels.

Not a bad gain for some cheap and easy mods, I will let you know how the car sounds and feels once I pick it up!

I final got off my butt and did the swap. I put white shoe polish on my coolant lines and sat the LS6 manifold down on it and where I found shoe polish on the bottom of the manifold, I removed the ribs along the path of the coolant lines and that seemed to work just find. The car runs good. The only problem is that it pops back through the exhaust alot worse than it did before. If you have an answer for that, I would appreciate it. Anyway, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and appreciate all your help.

LOL Once you get the old one off and the new one on, you will say,, wow,,, that was easy!

Its a fool proof improvement that will support more performance MODs and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

The next best way to go is a FAST 92 ($800+) but you wont see any more HP till you do a heads and cam swap.

BC
Get some more bolt on mods done and have it tuned. That will get you some more HP and eliminate that issue..

See,, I told you that you would say that when you were done!

I went to install the ls6 valley cover on my 99 c5 expecting to have to cut my block and my block somehow doesn't have the provision the ls1's did It has 853 heads, had an ls1 manifold, and ls1 PCV. Makes me wonder if one of the previous owners cracked the block? It was stock when I bought it lol
