Default Transmission grinding

I have a 99 FRC that I use for autocross & high speed racing, lately when I shift to third & forth gears it will grind into gear, every time. I haven't been able to find a repair shop that will even take a look at it. I live close to Omaha, NE does anyone know of someplace to try?

I can't help you regarding repair shop.

Does the grinding occur at all speeds and only 3rd & 4th gear? If yes, it is likely your syncros are shot for 3rd & 4th gear set. If it is happening on other gears too, it could be a master or slave cylinder issue. Make sure your fluid level is correct and verify there are no leaks.

Happened to me on my 4th gear.
It would grind a few times each time I would be out cruising around.
I had a local Corvette tuner rebuild my 6 speed transmission with a full rebuild kit from RPM.
It feels WAY better than stock now, and it is stronger now too.

You can try to replace your trans fluid but that has not helped many people.

Try verifying that your shifter is correctly aligned as well.

I agree, check the shifter alignment first and then change trans fluid to see if that helps. On a side note, is the clutch fully disengaging?
