Downsides to Used Borla's?
I found some used Borla Quad Tip Stingers for sale on Craigslist for $650, looks like a good deal. Is there a down side to buying them used? They look very nice from what i can see in the pic. Is there anything i should look for before i go to buy them?

not at all. those things last nearly forever. 304 stainless is extremely corrosion resistant
i would prefer used over new all day with borla, cost being why

They have an unbearable drone at highway speeds.

To the point where I had to swap them out for a different catback. Stingers sound great but, on some setups, the drone is just ridiculous. I have intake/heads/cam/headers and 6-speed so, for a while I would just try and shift out of the rpm range where the drone lived. It made the car undriveable for more than 30 minutes - I would literally get nauseated - so I swapped in a set of Ti's and, finally, GHL Bullets which have virtually no drone.

It seems like there are several different systems that are called Stingers. I have seen the straight through no muffler system called stingers and I have seen a couple of versions of the "S" type that have a muffler called stingers.
They are very different.
I have some of the "S" type that have a mufflers (140038) and although they are much louder than stock I don't notice much drone at highway speeds while cruising. If I push on the gas they get louder.

the exhaust note actually changes ever so slightly as they go from brand new - used. if anything, assuming no beating has been done, its almost better used. you get the final sound, lower price, etc.
