C6 GS OEM wheels on C5 with front and rear flares.
I am putting the Corvette Creationz ZR rear flares and either their front flares, if they produce them anytime soon or L5 front flares on my 2000 coupe. Looking now for rim and tire combinations. I can get a set of C6 OEM GS rims with offsets 40mm front and 59mm rear at a very good price. This is a 18x9.5 and 19x12 combo. I am going with 275x35x18 tires up front and 325x30x19 tires in the rear. I have coil overs and C6 Z06 sways front and rear already.
Question I have of anyone running these size rims and offsets is: did you require a spacer in the rear to clear suspension, brakes, ducts (if you have them) etc? I have calculated the amount the tires will stick out further and the flares should cover them in the rear, but the 40mm offset of the C6 rims up front will not be covered by the 3/4 inch L5 flares. If Pete at Corvette Creationz makes his at 1 inch or 1.5 inch I may be alright. Any thoughts, recommendations would be welcomed. Thanks.
