Pullem and play with them to see if ant are busted and or dont pivot easily.. if you feel any grinding - you get the point..

Hope everything is ok.

Yeah--just yank the valve covers and visually inspect them--look at the point where it contacts the valve stem, in addidion to the pivot point--if you see any metal in the valley below--you've got issues.
Are you having valvetrain noise?

I am having some weird valvetrain noises. The car will tap for roughly 30 seconds while it is warming up. The car is dead quiet when you start it and for the first 5 mintues then it starts tapping and will tap for 30 seconds or so and disappear. After the car is fully warmed up it won't tap. If I watch the oil temp and coolant temps I can almost predict when it is going to tap.
I pulled the valve cover one night right when it started to tap and one of the rocker arms had some play in it. (Intake rocker 3rd piston back from front on driver side) The rocker arm would move from side to side very slightly and you could push the top of the rocker and it would move .030". I feel like the lifter is loosing oil then building back up. All of my fluids are fine. I just dont know where to start to fix this. The car does have new comp cam lifters, factory pushrods, and not showing any signs of any wear. I dont have any oil consumption, gas mileage or fuel problems.
Phillip - Lost with current problem

Just for clarification:

The INTAKE lifter/rocker in questions is on the 3rd piston back from the front of the car on the driver side. There is only one making noise.

They are brand new lifters from Comp Cams. The lifter in question has felt spongy/springy if you push the pushrod down but feels firm 85% of the time.

The rocker arm shows no sign of wear on either end. The pivot does move up and down slightly but they all seemed to have the same characteristics.

Man - thats weird..

Did you "blow out" the push rods when you had them out? Maybe one has a hair ball in it :D that is preventing oil from traveiling through it while running..

Good luck!
