Replacing pink coolant with Dex-cool
Using a used short block. Previous owner had pink coolant in it. I assume it's extended life stuff. Any problems going back to Dex-cool? Most of the other stuff should be out since I've turned the block over several times.

shouldn't be... Dex-Cool and most other are all Ethylene glycol just different color. I worked at Lexus and the Toyota coolant was basically the same junk as the other manufactures stuff just different color.

To the OP; Dex-cool is the "pink coolant"! It's the same stuff. Sometimes it appears orange depending on the mix ratio.
To RedZMonte; NO, Dex-cool is not ehtylene glycol. It is propylene glycol. Not the same and definitely not compatible.
You should never mix Dex-cool (pink coolant) with ethylene glycol coolants (green) or you will have a serious mess on your hands.
