What is my THUMP?
Last week all of a sudden my car began to make a loud THUMP that can be felt in the seat. Driving along city roads. It's random. Doesn't need to be a bump. My mechanic looked underneath expecting to see a sway bar loose or a shock problem but saw nothing.
A search for "thump" brought up a front differential bushing but turned out that was on a C3. Can't see anything like that on my C5.
Help!!

Also check your cradle bolts after I built my motor mine started to have a pop sound checked sway bar links which was fine then I checked cradle bolts and 2 were loose tightened them no more noise.

I have looked at everything under the car. It was on the lift today for something else. Nothing is loose. However, what ever it was it is no longer thumping!! Go figure. I guess if it starts again, I'll begin my visual search again.
