When guys swap to auto like a glide or th400, how do they keep the idle good with dbw? I currently have a manual valve body 4l60 and it wants to die when I put it in gear. It's got me to the point of going to full auto.
I don't really know what your are talking about, but you would need a tune. The VCM is expecting data from the transmission, which should be a 4l60E. If you don't have that tranny there, the VCM is obviously looking for a information that it will never get. You need to have the auto trans disabled as in a manual trans and then play with your idle controls until it will hold but it will never be perfect.

Thanks for the reply. I did an auto swap so the PCM still thinks it's manual. I found a local tuner that is gonna need with it and see if he can get it idling better. It doesn't help that I just put on a much bigger intake Lol.
