After my little mishap with a tractor trailor, I need to get the passenger side mirror repainted. To save myself a pile of money from the body shop, they told me to just remove the mirror myself and bring it to them. Any tips on doing this? How involved is it to remove the inside door panel? Thanks for any help in advance!
Re: Removing side view mirrors? Anyone done this? (QuickSilver97)
It is relatively easy. The one thing you have to be aware of is that there are 2 mirrors. 1 for the memory pkg. and 1 w/o memory.
I got the mirror from the dealer (they insisted there was only 1) and had a guy from the body shop paint it and then when I had everything apart I found out the plugs are diff. for the memory pkg.
The dealer replaced the mirror but wouldn't repaint it.
Let me look for some instructions that I might have typed up...back in a bit...Quick you got mail.
