Default A6-SCM No Comm after removing drivers seat

Hi all! I removed the seats in my 2001 Coupe this weekend when I installed a sound deadening product. I noticed that the driver's seat connections had a lot of green corrosion on them, so I was able to take them apart and clean them. After replacing the seats, the passenger seat works fine, but the driver's seat does not work at all and I have a flashing memory light 2 on my door switch when I try to use that function. I performed some basic troubleshooting, and found a blown fuse (#4) and replaced it. I still get error message "A6-SCM No Comm." Also, two new error messages/codes came up; 40-BCM B2581H and B2592H. I removed the negative battery terminal on a brand new Optima Red Top to reset with no luck. I have searched virtually every A6-SCM No Comm thread and every forum online with no luck. I removed the seat, checked the SCM and connections (All seems well), checked the wiring and the black & blue connectors for bad connections & wires. I also checked the circuit breakers for continuity and they are a direct short (I assume they are reusable if they don't show an open?) Does anyone have a schematic for the driver's seat and connections to the BCM? I can't understand the blown fuse, and it is not blowing since replacement. Can a BCM SCM function go bad alone or would the entire BCM not communicate at all? I'd hate to have to replace the BCM for this one particular comm problem... My seat is at the full forward position and it won't move at all. I can't see it being the SCM...Also, I cleaned all of the ground points in the vehicle and under the hood, which was unnecessary as they were all good. Any assistance would be a godsend at this point!

jd911, THANK YOU AGAIN! I was able to trace the problem to an open 5 bolt reference wire which apparently controls the telescopic steering column through the Seat Control Module and it also must have a data loop or some other feedback to the SCM data bus. The wire was corroded at the terminal crimp point and was still stuck in the connector housing until I pulled on it. I cleaned it, was able to get the pin out, cleaned it, soldered the wire, adjusted the pin retainer and all is well...
I just want to say, I've been lurking here since I got this C5 and finally joined today. It paid off! Hope to contribute for sure!

Thank you for this thread. I will be checking fuse #4 and hoping that is the issue. Had to remove the fuse to the lumbar to turn the lumbar motor off. Luckily's for me, the driver seat and steering column are stuck in the position that works for me; Husband is not so lucky....
