ECS builds are never in the 400's to the tire, at least here anyway. Even the most base model will make 500 rwhp with an auto. Personally I would go with meth injection over a cam, much better return on investment since the limiting factor is octane which it now provides. Our base kit can max out octane in pump gas without a cam.

Finally the installation of the ECS kit has started, and hopefully I will be on the road during next week . One thing that came up when they started was that they said that is was "insanely" much more work to replace the harmonic balancer than to just get the old one pinned. We have agreed on a price for the installation of the kit, but I will be charged in addition for the replacing of the HB. What should I accept i terms of extra hours?

You must be getting frustrated by your installer. I did mine, and included a cam swap, new pulley,(pinned) in a couple of weekends in my little garage. A clutch change was more difficult for me.
