Default 8 Bolt LSA Crankshaft with C5 Flex plate?

I just realized that the LSA crank in my new motor is an 8 bolt crank. Therefore my stock flexplate wont bolt up to it. Does anyone know if you can bolt the torque tube coupler hub to an 8 bolt LSA/LSX flex plate? Based on the pictures I've seen it almost looks like it can be done.

Good question. And I'm sub'd for an answer as well.

Have you called RPM Transmissions? They've seen a lot of different setups come through their shop. They might have an answer.

I plan to use an LS9 crank in my turbo build. I believe that has a 9 bolt flange.

If the cost of any oddball adapter is more than the difference in just buying a standard flange forged aftermarket crank, then I guess I'd buy aftermarket.

I believe RPM is out until next year for the holidays. What I did was buy a C7 flexplate which looks identical to a C5 except it's for an 8 bolt crank. I'll keep you posted with the results.

Well I got the C7 flexplate in today and mocked it up on the crank. Seems to fit, everything lined up.
