Default Most aggressive cam to pass smog

I'm in California and most of you know or heard how it is with the smog situation in Cali.

Anyhow, any idea what aggressive cam I can use and still pass smog? I'd like to hear from other members before I try and ask a local shop.

Plans are to add LT headers
Cam and valve train upgrade

thanks

Stay with negative overlap (-4) and more, it should pass emissions with a good tune.

I didn't think LT's were legal in California.

Actually LT's aren't legal in any state. Federal laws ban moving or deleting the Cats. Some states don't enforce it. Some states have their own emissions laws that are stricter than Federal.

I researched this a while ago, and it seems if you keep the cam 114 lsa of higher you should be ok. go below that (110-113) gets tougher to pass or not at all. As mentioned earlier in this thread the tune is critical to get a cam to pass. But people have had no issues passing with a 114 lsa cam.
But then I just looked up your profile, Your car is an 01. No rollers for you, just a OBDII check for codes. Cam won't be your problem, visual like the headers are though. But looks like you have that covered. Cam away!!!
