2022 C5 of the Year Finalist - Modified

Default The Noise is Back, But Worse

Last summer I wrote I had metal on metal sound from my rear when I was going up a steep upgrade while giving it extra gas. Today I had to drive a little spirited on a flat surface and I heard the noise again. Again a little more gas than your normal acceleration.

Any suggestions? I've got to go in for inspection next month. Any suggestions would be helpful. What should I tell them to check?

Most likely some sort of exhaust clanging around. MAYBE a diff, but that would have some more drive-ability consequences I'd think. Would tell them to grab the exhaust on a lift and shake it, check welds/clamps, then maybe a diff fluid change to check how that's looking.
