Fuel Gauge Stuck On Full After Instrument Cluster Swap
Just finished working through the instrument cluster swap and moving the eeprom chip to the new cluster. When I plugged the new cluster in and turned on the ignition the fuel gauge went to full and stays on full, it does not finish the ignition sweep, anyone have any ideas?
My mileage is reading correctly from the eeprom chip switch and all the other gauges are functioning properly.
With my scan tool I can force the fuel gauge to go to empty and then back to full, but as soon as I unhook it will promptly go back to full.
I have also tried plugging back in the old cluster and I receive the correct fuel level on it.
No codes related to the instrument cluster.
My car is a 1998 the new instrument cluster was out of a 2004 is there a wiring difference that I am missing???
