Crate LS3 Install in C5
Well number 7 ring decided to break on our factory 1998 Corvette LS1.I can't really complain because I have been drag racing it since 2007 and it has to have over 1000 runs on it. So we purchased an LS3 crate engine from Jegs. My question is this do we have to swap over the old LS1 water pump in place of the LS3 so the bottom radiator hose fits? It seems that the LS3 water pump thermostat housing points the opposite way. If so I will order a new LS1 water pump. Thanks guys.

I have an LS1 water pump sitting on my shelf. I just used it while my Mezeire was getting rebuilt. I can send it to you if you'd like.
