Default Years of 4l60e

I am able to get my hands on a 4l60e from a 97 sierra (detachable bellhousing) for free. Is everything internally the same to where I can build it and put it in my 99 Frc and it fit up? I know I have to get different torque tube, wiring, yada yada.

Also I know you can on the 4l80e can you build it to a manual valve body for shifting?

Can't be used. The case is not the same as it has a bolt area to attach the rear end to the transmission and a seal on the output shaft, the input shaft/stator support are different also. The output shafts are also different lengths and to replace that requires tearing down the transmission about 99%. Sorry...

So is that even if I get the transmission rebuilt?

Nope, cases are different. The bolt pattern where the transmission bolts to the bell housing is different from the bolt pattern that bolts to the transaxle. Also, the "new" transmission has a dipstick and the corvette one doesn't. It has a fill hole. Google is your friend, just look it up. If you're going to rebuild the trans, then just rebuild yours... that solves all the problems.
