A few days ago I put led low beams in the headlights, everything has been working fine since. Tonight I started putting led's in the DIC and HUD. I got them put in turned the key then realized the polarity was wrong on a couple bulbs. Pulled the cluster back out and swapped bulbs around, put cluster back in. When I turned the key I also turned on headlights by accident. Both headlight motors started a popping/tapping sound continuously. Now headlights wont go down, only one headlight is working, and both motors continue to pop. What the heck have I done? On top of this I managed to break one led bulb ans have another one that doesn't work at all.. what do you guys think??
It sounds like when you install the LEDs nothing went wrong on that end. To me it sounds like the plastic gearing in the headlight housing is failing, it is one hell of a quickie dink ... does the headlights work do they turn on?

It has something to do with when I plugged the wiring harnesses back on. They have always worked perfect until that point. Im about to make a video of what it's doing the I will post it.

It seems you probably have a broken plastic gear in the headlights.
Get a kit like this one (pay attention because there are 2 different kits: one for "97 to early 2000" and another for "late 2000 to 2004") and follow these step-by-step directions. You'll save money and they will last forever
You might need these as well (the rubber bump stops).
There is a TSB, that calls for shimming the driver's side motor. The parts needed for this are included in the above mentioned kit.
I got it figured out guys. With these led's I have to put the high beams on to make the lights go down... sometimes they will go down with low beams on but usually high beams must be on. Just glad it's not the motors. I believe it's because I don't have the in-line resistors. Now I just have to try and get a couple more led bulbs shipped and I can get everything put back together. I broke one bulb and one other bulb wouldn't work at all.
