Default Interior Lights Staying On

2001. Rear view mirror and foot well lights staying on after closing the door while engine is running. It's not the ****. No "door ajar" warnings so I'm assuming it's not the door or hatch switches. They go out upon locking it with the fob. But will remain on as long as it's not locked, i.e., driving.

Any thoughts? Another strange issue, immediately upon unlocking the doors with the fob, the AC comes on to the auto mode. Weird.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Understood on that relay turning them off on a timer. Weird part is, they will go off on the timer. They also go off when I lock it. They only stay on when it's running with the headlights on. Strange.

On the AC issue, no, hasn't gotten wet.

Ok, just fixed my "interior lights staying on while car is running". I opened my BCM and inspected the board. My board had less than half of the contamination of the board in this thread.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...7-and-hcm.html

I flushed the area with alcohol and flushed behind the two white "components". Dried it out well and reinstalled it. Courtesy lights go off as they are supposed to while car is running with doors closed.
