Default 1997 corvette New TPMS sensors not responding

Rear sensors weren't working so i bought all four new and replaced them. (TPMS-9479952 Chevrolet Corvette 1997-2000 Tire Pressure Sensors Set) bought them from Hubcap Haven. Anyways i tried learning them using a magnet, didn't work. I even bought a VXSCAN EL-50448 Auto Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Reset Tool OEC-T5 and that didn't work either. The tool should have worked since the frequencies for 1997-2000 tpms sensors is 315 mhz which is supposed by the tool. My wheels are aftermarket, would the size or dimensions of my wheel affect the learning process? i cant get the sensors to respond.

Did you purchase OEM sensors or OEM replacment ?
OEM Sensors were made by Schrader and yes , it used radio frequencies and is programmed by a magnet. Some replacement sensor rely on rotation to get them to transmit the signal to program and not a magnet.

If you can't get the first one to "beep".... Try another wheel.. Even though it's not the right position.. Just to get em going.. If you can get all 4 to beep and confirm.. Just drive
around for awhile.. Then later go back and reprogram to the correct position.
Sometimes the front tires are more difficult to recognize.. due to the module being toward
the back of the car.. At least you will know which one might be "bad"

I was just looking at there web site. Did you notice that the Mhz value for the 1997 - 2000 TPM they are selling are the same as 2001-2004 ?
I don't know the actual MHz's between 97-00 and 01-04. What i do know is they are completely different and one won't work with the other.

Ahh I see what you're saying. They're all listed under 315 mhz for the most part. Im not quite sure if they were OEM or OEM replacement. They where the same color and shape as the OEM but i don't remember if i saw schrader branding on them. I tried looking other places and for the most part people are saying 1997-2000 should be 315 mhz but theres not much info on it.

No the wheel fitment will not effect it. Take your car over to AMERICA'S Tire.. they will reset for free and can scan them to see if they are putting out a signal, I use to work for them..... if you were sold NOS.. NEW OLD STOCK then I can guarantee the batteries are dead. If new cross reference sensors then some are garbage and will not sync up with some tpms systems. . GM systems are tricky if not using Schrader sensors, it doesn't like it for some reason.. Also when doing a relearn I believe you have to start at the left front wheel 1st then rf,rr,lr as if you were sitting in the car, lf,rf,rr,lr.. try that..
