Just wondering if anybody has done the Ti bypass mod on a non Z06 Ti axle back system. May be an alternative to an aftermarket system for some C5 owners.
Thanks, Ray in TX.
I've said that before... why cut apart a Ti system when a basically free base system will perform and sound the same. A few here have done so and posted.
I wouldn't say perform the same per say, the titanium is definitely lighter than the base exhaust, and if you already have a z06, then why buy another exhaust and have the same thing done. Could sell your titanium I suppose, but I would rather have the ti.

I get your point... but just my opinion:
-nobody will notice the 20# difference
-both are 2 1/2" tube, so with the same bypass should perform the same
-only so many Ti systems out there, a little bit of a pity to chop them up for (almost) no benefit
-base systems are anywhere from free to $50 usually
The Modded Ti Sounds great.
The Ti Exhaust Systems tips look better as well.
And what do you mean by Non-Z06 ti system?
all the base systems were steel. and could be modded in the same manner.
Pipe size for the bypass will change exhaust note so keep that in mind. I did mine with 2" ID Ti Tubing. and it sounds perfect. tons of compliments and can still have a conversation in the car while cruising.
