Default Accessing the HUD/DIC button clusters

I bought an LED kit from West Coast Corvettes with intent on doing the window switches (which came out fine) and I was surprised to see that the kit includes LEDs for a number of other switches including the HUD/DIC buttons on the edges of the dash cluster. I'm trying to determine how deep I have to dig to get at these? Must the dash cluster come out? If so - is futher disassembly of the cluster required - or once out can you get to the "edge bulbs" without having to remove the HV power supply, etc from the back of the cluster?

Yes, the cluster needs to come out. Not a hard job, just time consuming. Plenty of older threads on the C5 section on how to do this.

This is the only write up link that I have found that still works. No pics though...

I was able to locate some of these - but the links to the pics are dead. I'm not sure this is worth it just for the DIC/HUD bulbs Perhaps just wait and LED the entire dash when its out
