Default HVAC Code B0367 Right Actuator Feedback Open

Had this in the Tech section with no luck...maybe here?

2004 Coupe, Pulled the codes and got HVAC Code B0367 Right Actuator Feedback Open. But here's the kicker. The left side vents are slightlywarm, right side is Ice cold. I also checked Freon and low side pressure with the system on, fans at max is 32 psi so I'm good there.
So which side Actuator is bad, left or right? Could it be possible to interpret the code description as Right side feedback open because it isn't getting a signal from the left side?
Once I ran the DTC's I reset the HVAC code and heard the left side actuator indexing. Couldn't tell if the right side was doing anything from sitting in the drivers seat.
So before i tear apart the dash and buy a new Actuator i want to make sure I'm replacing the correct one.

On a side note: Had a couple of guys from one of the C5 pages on Facebook claim the Dorman 604-106 replacement is crap and get a GM 89018365 or AC Delco 1572971

I have the same problem in my 99 (warm air on the driver's side, cold air on the passenger side) but it comes and goes. Currently, both sides are blowing cold air so I haven't messed with it.

Here is some info I have on rebooting the actuators.
Are you blowing warm air from the passenger side? If it is a bad actuator, the RH actuator requires pulling the dash to get to it. First thing I would do is remove fuse #27 from the fuse panel located behind the carpeting, inside passenger foot area. Leave it out for 5-10 minutes and then re-insert the fuse (this causes a reset to the HVAC actuators) and start the car. Run diagnostics from the DIC and see if you are still throwing codes for the RH actuator.

No, it's warm on the left side, right side is ice cold.
Yet the right side actuator is what's throwing the code. I reset the codes, heard the left side actuator cycle. Pulled fuse, waited and Reinserted fuse after 10 minutes. Start the car up, still got warm air out if the left side. Shut it off, ran through DIC and B037 was up again..funny thing its not showing up with an H or C 🤔

Try pulling the fuse. WTH, worth a try. The C5 have so many electrical anolmolies that I try everything I can think of and others have suggested that are easy and not costing money. Good luck on fixing your problem.

For schitz and giggles I cleared the code again. Pulled fuse 27 for 15 minutes. Put it back in, fired it up....sunshine out of the left side and code returns.
So I'm back to square one...replace left or right side.

I tried a suggestion that YO-EL suggested but it didn't work. Purchased 2 new Delco Actuators, tore the dash apart and replaced both. Both actuators are functioning properly.........It think. To me the driver's side is still not as cold as the passenger side. Another thing I noticed is that while the dash pad was off I fired up THE AC. Driver's side temp was set to 60, fan at full. When I raised the temp to 75 at the left temp control **** I can see both left and right doors and actuators driving closed. Lower temp back down to 60, everything drives back full open. Now, with the temp still at 60, turning the right side temp control did absolutely nothing. No movement from the right blend Door. Raise temp setting from 60 to 65 on the left and then I got control of the right blend Door from the right side temperature ****.🤔🤔🤔

Ugh, I so do not want to do this job on my 99. So far, she has been behaving herself.

And it was between 85-90 with 85% humidity. I was soaked by the time I was done. 😨

I missed seeing this. While you were in there, did you look at all at the vacuum system to make sure that all of that is working proper and holding good vacuum? When you shut the vehicle off there should be enough vacuum to operate the doors a couple times. If not you've got a leak. You can still do that when it's quiet outside if you listen for the doors to move after you shut the car off but turn the car to accessory and change the vents.

Yes I did do as you mentioned and did see the doors move. 🍻👍

Thinking back, I don't think mine was ever quite as cold out of the driver side as it was from the passengers and I assumed it was just because of the distance the air had to travel in the vents. After the AC ran a while it stabilized was fine. Even if it's not right, if yours works as well as mine did you can live with it. LOL

I read here somewhere that with dual control a/c, when the left temp **** is turned to 60@, the system blows max cold on both sides, regardless of right **** turned or position. It's only when the left **** is turned past 65@ does the right **** become active again. Mine works the same.
