Passenger seat handle broken?
God dammit guys.. I was vacuuming my car and I pulled the seat forward, and now its super forward, I cant get it to recline backwards, the plastic handle is intact, but No matter how much i pull on it and push my back to push the seat back, its STUCK. Making my car now essentially a one passenger car. Smh... any tips? Am i even doing it properly? Pulling the handle up and pushing back?
The tab on the back of the headrest is also stuck, but i dont think i need to touch that to recline the seat back.

It sounds like the seat recline cable assembly may have stripped on the end that fits into the handle. The end piece is plastic and over time the striations are rubbed flat and there is nothing for the seat handle to grab. If you can pull the seat recline handle off (remove the retainer clip first), you can use vise grips to lock on to the cable end piece and get the seat back adjusted.
If the end piece at the edge of the seat is rubbed smooth you will have to replace it.
Below is an image of the seat assembly. (Part #26 is the cable ).
Shop around for the cable assembly. I found a wide range of prices when I replaced mine.
Below is a link to a step by step presentation on how to replace this cable.

If you end up having to replace your cable you may want to also fix your seat rocking (if you still have it) and maybe even consider replacement foam for the seats.
Best wishes with your fix.

^ that diagram is insane! im overwhelmed just looking at it. but thank goodness i dont need to go that deep into it.
the solution: i went back outside, jiggled the plastic tab behind the headrest and it got loose, and bam the seat fell backwards into reclinded position.
the handle on the bottom is to pull it forwards, and the tab on the back headrest is to push it back again. smh.. i never knew this until today. hope this helps anyone else.
