Default Weather Stripping 2003 Z06

Hello I am the new owner of a 2003 Z06, and I am wondering if weather stripping is a common failure on these cars? My weather stripping is soft, all intact and attached. However I noticed when parked outside in heavy rain, both door sills had water on them. Additionally if I cross a higher speed threshold, the wind noise changes dramatically and it seem like air is rushing in above the window.

I am in the same boat. No water issue but above 75 ish the windows stop sealing as well and wind noise increases. It happens less when running the HVAC on recirculate. I plan on replacing the weatherstrip in the near future. No tears and soft but 15 years old so it isn't like new for maintaining pressure completely against the window.

Most likely it's not your weather stripping that's the problem, it will be the seal under the weather strip, or more accurately the seal under the drip rail . It's kind of a three layer deal. First there is a seal of double sided tape (most likely problem area)and some goop. Then the drip rail, more goop on that and then a steel piece that clamps the drip rail to the body. Some more goop in the corners to seal the weather strip to everything else.
