Default "SERVICE ABS" warning

"SERVICE ABS" warning Was ONE of THREE warnings I got yesterday when I got into my 2002 yesterday.
also "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND "SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING"
It was 95 degrees outside yesterday and my car sits in the sun all day. Later on, after supper, the warnings went away.

My "HEADS UP" display gets funky sometimes when it gets hot in direct sunlight also.

If you seem to be getting the codes more when it's hot, I would suggest driving and pulling codes then.

Thanks. Could it be something as simple as an over or underinflated tire causing an uneven spin?

I would suggest it is possible, at least for underinflated.

My 01 has an issue with a slow leak in the LF.

If I let the LF drop below 23 psi, I'll start getting the ABS/TC messages at start, along with the sliding car warning light. (the other 3 tires are stable at 30psi)

It clears with the reset button, the light stays illuminated, and the DIC message pops back up a few minutes later.

Reinflate the tire, the message and the light both go away until that tire leaks down to <= 23 again.

I randomly get the same messages "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND "SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING"when I first start the car. Turn car off and immediately restart and everythings fine, no messages. i'm original owner, 30K miles, immaculate, impeccably serviced. Replaced front pads last year....car driven VERY little. Is this something needing serious attention or messages based on age and mileage. Car runs flawlessly. Appreciate guidance...Bob

I would write them down and then clear them. You will probably have some old codes that are no longer valid, you want to see what returns after you drive the car a bit. The codes you are most concerned with at the moment are the TCS codes.
DIC codes listed here: http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm

Thanks very much....this has been extremely helpful and informative. Ok, will do as advised, will write down and then clear. See what
happens after few start/stops and driving. Thank again, much appreciated.
