Im planning on improving suspension on my car. First step i was thinking of taking is to buy and install C6Z06 shocks. Later i will install a stiffer swaybars, perhaps Z51 and then change to better springs or just new ones.
Will first step affect drivability bad if i don't do the other steps until a later time?
I have a C5 FE1 with no modifications on suspension at the moment.
With just the shocks changed, you will notice a slightly stiffer ride and more responsive steering input.
If you are going with bigger/stiffer sway bars and springs, you might want to upgrade your bushings from rubber to polyurethane. Other upgrades to consider are stronger hubs, new end links, ball joints, etc.
Good luck and have fun.

No issues upgrading in stages, especially for a street car. I'm running C6Z51 sway bars, DRM Bilstein shocks, and Z06 leaf springs. It's probably a bit stiff than the stock ride, but I did things in stages and don't notice. I'm still very happy with the ride quality (wife didn't know I changed anything so that's a good sign), and the handling is better. Just a side note, swapping the leaf springs was incredibly easy.
Oh crap! Its impossible to buy things from US. Shipping costs way more than the parts. Totally insane. Lost all initiative to do this now, start think maybe better to sell the car and buy european.
A set of shocks and a set of swaybars, 400-700 dollars just for shipping! Its just not sane! Cheaper to boy a ticket to US, buy the stuff over desk and then bring it as luggage. (wouldn't work thou, people on airport would assume im terrorist and about to blow up the plane when x-raying my luggage)
