Default Ran out of gas

2003 50 Year Anniversary Corvette. Been doing resto, I didn’t realize it until I ran out of gas setting in my garage.
Put gas in, didn’t want to start, finial did however, each time I start it has to be started several times and runs a little rough, once I get rolling it takes gas normally and goes fine. Is it possible that the fuel line needs to be purged?

Ignition on, listen for fuel pump. it should run until it develops pressure then stop. now fuel rail should have proper pressure. crank engine it should start. you may have a stuck check valve, if it has failed you will not retain fuel pressure when engine is stopped this is at the pump. If you have a fuel pressure gauge there is a port at the fuel rail to check pressure. It should hold the pressure after the engine is stopped. With an luck you did not clog your injectors with goo. Get a can or two of Techron and run tank or two .
